🌟 Highlights from Q1 2024: A Review by JCI Europe Chair, Manuela Weber 🌟

As we reflect on the first quarter of 2024, we’re thrilled to share the progress and achievements made by JCI Europe. Let’s delve into some of the highlights, as shared by our JCI EVP assigned to Europe Manuela Weber. 

Key Highlights:

🤝 Building Connections: With 14 country visits and 33 individual meetings, we’ve strengthened ties within our community, fostering collaboration and shared goals.

🚀 Brand Awareness & Visibility: Through several initiatives, we’re amplifying our presence and impact globally. Some examples from Q1 include: 

  • We promoted to sign the Petition for the recognition of the Universal Declaration of Human Duties (>12000 signatures globally so far) and initiated plans for the implementation of “International Human Duties Day” on July 10th, alongside conducting projects to celebrate JCI.
  • Through programs like Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP – registrations open until July 3) and Creative Young Entrepreneur (CYE – registrations open until May 29), we’re creating opportunities for young leaders.
  • 25 national social media managers are appointed, 12 LEADER magazine articles are submitted and a marketing training session is planned for the upcoming EC. 

💼 Leadership Development: Our commitment to empowering leaders is materialized through the following initiatives: 

  • Currently open for application are the Train the Trainer program and the European Know-How Transfer
  • On the EC, there will be debating and public speaking competitions, as well as the kick-off of the mentor-mentee program
  • Trainings were held online, like the parliamentary procedure training, the global leadership masterclasses and the JCI Europe Public Speaking session. 
  • Don’t forget to nominate your Star members & star local presidents

👥 Streamlined Structure: With initiatives like JCI Merchandise promotion and Membership Feedback Surveys, we’re enhancing operations and member experience.

📈 Data-Driven Innovation: We’re embracing innovation with programs like the 100% Efficiency Program and Vision 2040, charting a path towards sustainable growth and impact. Some achievements so far: 

  • 20 national JVC ambassadors in place 
  • 2 European National Organization have volunteered to pilot the JCI Alumni Club
  • A Lego-Serious-Play workshop was done in the European Presidents Meeting in order to visualize our Vision 2040. 
  • Award submissions for the EC are open until May 6th!
